RPO Speed Wagon
The Recruitment Process Outsourcing industry is a lot about speed. Almost every day we talk about being faster; implementing faster, finding qualified candidates faster, filling jobs faster, onboarding new hires faster, facilitating change management faster…as Hunter Thompson said “Faster, faster, faster, until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of death.”
At Pinstripe, we are always in search of tools that can help us get our job done faster. I find that one area that slows me down is travel, especially wasted time getting from point to point at airports.
But now I have found the perfect solution; the Micro Samsonite. This travel luggage is part hard-shell case, part kickboard-style scooter. All you need to do is extend the integrated handle and tri-wheeled kickboard and you can glide right past the teeming hordes in the terminal. Once at your gate, reverse the process and you’ve got a carry-on bag with a capacity of 2,600 cubic inches.
I believe this effectiveness tool falls right behind the laptop and smart phone in terms of increasing productivity and should be standard issue to all traveling RPO employees. Just imagine the time savings.
Also, I would like to thank Nury Plumley, who runs Americas and EMEA talent acquisition for Agilent Technologies, for inventing the term “RPO Speed Wagon”. Nury, finally, I know what a RPO Speed Wagon looks like!
We would like to thank Barry Diamond – VP, Business Development Pinstripe ( strategic partner of Ochre House) - for this great guest blog.
